As the Director of Content & Strategy at Blender Networks, I led copy, design, and marketing for multiple shopping websites and blogs with various target audiences. During my time there, I had the opportunity to re-launch FitMinutes.com, a site dedicated to all things fitness, nutrition, and health. I led the redesign of the website, developed imagery and copy guidelines, created and updated the imagery and copy on the website based on seasonal and advertiser updates, defined the categories and subcategories that would be featured on the site, created target personas to help guide the team during content brainstorm sessions, planned content and managed an editorial calendar, wrote blog posts, assigned blog posts, edited blog posts and gave feedback (and virtual high-fives) to other writers, wrote social media copy to help promote blog posts, managed a social media manager, freelance blogger, fitness writer, and website manager, and implemented a successful revenue-generating content partnership with lululemon.
I am passionate about fitness, nutrition, and health – if there’s an app for it, it’s probably downloaded on my phone. 😉 This made the experience that much more exciting and fun. I also wrote and planned fitness, nutrition, and health content for two of our other websites – Cartageous.com and AddedInfluence.com.
